Step 5 of 14

SSH & Access

SSH (Secure Shell) is how you connect to the VPS from your Mac. Think of it as a phone call to the server — you dial in, and then you can talk to it.

Your Credentials

VPS Connection Details

Server IP 207.180.228.169
Username giorgia
Password Giorgia2026!
This page is protected. The training site is behind a login (basic auth), so these credentials are not publicly visible. Still, never share this page's URL with anyone.

How to Connect from Your Mac

  1. Open Terminal on your Mac. You can find it in Applications → Utilities → Terminal, or press Cmd + Space and type "Terminal".
  2. Type the following command and press Enter:
ssh giorgia@207.180.228.169
  1. The first time you connect, you'll see a message asking if you trust this server. Type yes and press Enter.
  2. When prompted for a password, type Giorgia2026! and press Enter. The password won't show as you type — that's normal.
  3. You're connected! You'll see a command prompt. Now type agent-deck and press Enter to open your command center.
agent-deck
  1. Agent Deck opens. You're ready to work.
Password invisible? When you type the password in Terminal, no characters appear on screen — no dots, no asterisks, nothing. This is a security feature. Just type the password and press Enter.

Disconnecting

When you're done working:

  1. Press q in Agent Deck to quit the launcher.
  2. Type exit and press Enter to close the SSH connection.
  3. You can close the Terminal window.
Don't just close the laptop lid. Always disconnect properly with exit first. Closing the lid while connected can leave sessions in a messy state.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
"Connection refused" The VPS might be restarting. Wait 2 minutes and try again.
"Connection timed out" Check your internet connection. Make sure you're not on a VPN that blocks SSH.
"Permission denied" Double-check the password. It's case-sensitive: Giorgia2026! (capital G, exclamation mark at the end).
Screen looks frozen Press Enter a few times. If still stuck, close Terminal and reconnect.
